Annual Giving Manager

The Annual Giving Manager manages Builder’s Circle, Dallas Habitat’s annual giving program (gifts of $500 or more), to produce sustainable revenue from individuals. S/he executes the strategy to increase the number of annual donors, retain existing donors and drive upward movement in individual gifts. The Annual Giving Manager will work directly with the Builder’s Circle volunteer chairman and his committee to qualify and solicit annual giving prospects. S/he will also lead other annual fund programs and events, including ongoing appeals, donor tours, Builder’s Circle and other donor events as well as the employee giving campaign. The Annual Giving Manager will carry a portfolio of individual donors ($500 – $9,999) to qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward. A successful Annual Giving Manager is an entrepreneurial self-starter and collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues across the department and agency.

  • Establish revenue and participation goals with the VP of Development for Builder’s Circle giving society and related special events; direct mail and employee giving
  • Plan and implement strategies and events to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward Builder’s Circle donors and donor prospects
  • Assist Director of Development with foundation prospects and donors
  • Ownership of ongoing appeal communication including content, timelines, revenue goals and tracking
  • Support the development team in the delivery of sponsor benefits, executing, tours, meeting and special events
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years nonprofit fundraising experience
  • Foundation relations and grant writing preferred
  • Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce database experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Motivated and goal-oriented with the ability self-manage
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic recommendations from the data
  • Excel at handling multiple projects and deadlines; must be flexible
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office
  • Ability to work nights and weekends is required
