Intern for Operations Department at Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity

The Operations Department supports the mission of Dallas Area Habitat by building homes for partner families with professional and volunteer labor. This internship will focus on supporting the site development and purchasing team in the Operations department. Site development is responsible for the prebuild tasks associated with home construction including securing surveys, building permits, and pouring foundations. Purchasing secures the materials and trade labor needed to build the home. Both teams have paper and electronic files that must be maintained to auditable standards.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Position Overview:

The Program Coordinator position is responsible for providing effective and efficient functional and operational support to the Neighborhood Empowerment Department. The best candidate for the position has an enthusiastic personality and able to develop harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, Partner Families, neighborhood leaders, nonprofits, and the general public. The Program Coordinator must have exceptional communication and organizational skills. A familiarity with the Habitat for Humanity program and an understanding of southern Dallas is preferred.

Family Services and Veteran Outreach Associate

Reports To: Director of Family Services
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview:

The Family Services and Veteran Outreach Associate is responsible
for all DAHFH procedures and processes for the qualification of homeowner families
and programs designed to support families after they have been selected. In addition,
The Associate also serves as a liaison between DAHFH, individual veterans and veteran services
groups in the Dallas-FW Metroplex. The overall responsibilities include conducting outreach
activities, screening Veterans seeking services, conducting program eligibility and assessment,
identifying community resources, providing information/referral services and providing advocacy
and program recordkeeping.

ReStore Cashier/Sales Associate (Part-Time)

Reports To: ReStore Manager

Position Overview:

The primary task of the P/T Sales Associate is to provide service through the timely and accurate processing of customer transactions; provides general clerical and customer service support in the collection, verification and balancing of cash and credit receipts; provides effective and efficient accounting and revenue receipt support as assigned; provides professional, effective and efficient assistance to the general public. Receives daily direction from the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Provides special assistance to the Store Manager, Assistant Manager and Sales Associates as required for the proper functioning of their positions.
