We build homes, communities, hope….and PEOPLE
When you become a part of the Dallas Habitat family, you dedicate yourself to our vision of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Come grow with us.
The Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity volunteer experience is like no other. It is a tangible result with immediate impact. Our volunteer program is vast, offering many opportunities for both individuals and small groups in construction, ReStore and more.
We are a group of young professionals that work to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity with a fresh approach to developing strong social networks. Coming from a variety of professions, backgrounds and interests, HYP Dallas members are the next generation of leaders who work to advocate for affordable housing, volunteer to build homes, and raise funds to support Habitat for Humanity International.

Are you thinking about buying a home, but aren’t sure whether you’re financially ready? The Dallas Habitat Homebuyer Club is designed to educate and equip homebuyers with a personalized plan and financial skills in order to become mortgage ready within 6-12 months. Clients achieve this by meeting with our Certified Homeownership Counselor and designing a roadmap for success.
Dallas Neighborhood Homes (DNH), a non-profit state licensed mortgage banker, specializes in providing home loans to low and moderate income households through its proprietary lending program. DNH works closely with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and other governmental agencies to provide down payment assistance to prospective home buyers in order to facilitate homeownership and make the loans affordable for every borrower.
Our partnership provides families with newly constructed homes and the unique opportunity to take control of their tomorrow. For more information on our in-house lending team, please click the button on the right to visit the DNH site.

Habitat may work around the corner from you, but we also work across the U.S. and around the world. With over 1.5 billion people, one-fourth of the total population, living on less than $2 a day in substandard housing, the need can seem overwhelming.
Make a trip donation to support Habitat’s work around the globe.
Habitat for Humanity International also offers an opportunity for you to volunteer in more than 40 nations. Click the Global Village button to visit the Global Village page of our corporate site.
Have furniture or household goods you no longer use? Have too much inventory? Renovating your office? Dallas Habitat can help!
We specialize in the “deconstruction” of office, commercial, and residential spaces. No donation is too large or too small. Our warehouse is ready to help with all the logistics.
Dallas Habitat is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your donation is tax deductible!
When you donate to our ReStores you help build brighter futures for families across Dallas. You help open the door to affordable homeownership—a first bedroom, a backyard for adventures, a kitchen for healthy meals, and a warm place for generations of memories.
The Habitat Apprentice Training program (H.A.T.) provides an opportunity for local, underserved men, women, veterans, single parents, and young adults to learn a set of marketable skills in the residential construction industry.
Our Neighborhood Empowerment team was formed to advance Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity’s mission and commitment to not just build houses, but to also revitalize and transform entire neighborhoods. Our mission is to serve more families by responding to community aspirations with an expanded array of products, services and partnerships, empowering residents to revive their neighborhoods and enhance their quality of life.
A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) is Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity’s exterior home repair program available to homeowners who would otherwise be unable to improve and maintain their homes. ABWK empowers residents to participate in the transformation of the neighborhood and encourage a strengthened pride in their community.
The first priority of the ABWK program is to provide exterior repairs that help maintain the integrity and safety of the home.
What exactly does “Deconstruction mean?” When homes and apartments are scheduled for demolition or remodeling, not all the valuable materials are removed. When Habitat for Humanity gets involved, we deconstruct those units.
This means that we send a team of volunteers and project managers into those units with specific instructions on what and how to remove the items we want (and have permission to take).
Volunteer at one of our ReStores!
The ReStore is a retail store that stocks new and gently used home decorating and home improvement products at a deep discount. ReStore volunteers work alongside staff to create a friendly environment for our customers. We have four ReStores that are open seven days a week, giving the most flexible options for volunteers to donate their time.
