Build Hope. Serve the Many.
Homeownership means more than a roof for just one family; rather it is a catalyst for transforming communities, building financial stability for generations, and priming the neighborhood for economic development.
As part of our expanded mission of serving the many—building asset wealth for our families and our City, reducing the influence of poverty, and improving the health of our communities—Dallas Habitat looks forward to continuing to pioneer new tools and strategic plans to help Build a Better Dallas.
A Leader in Homeownership
Committed to fighting asset poverty in our city and believing in the power of home, Dallas Habitat’s innovative model provides even more families with a pathway to affordable homeownership. Take a look at how we can serve even more with homebuyer preparedness, financial assistance, and the hand up that so many in our city need.
Our standard of building improves the long-term stability of the home, reduces utility costs for our homeowners and reduces the overall impact on the environment.
Dallas Habitat has also made it a priority to educate homeowners on the function and maintenance of the building systems to maximize sustainability and energy conservation.
Third party inspections of the building envelope ensure efficiency standards are kept at the highest level. With this in mind, Dallas Habitat has made a commitment to explore new and exciting improvements in green building practices that will be evolving for many years to come.
Our commitment to Green Building was further cemented in 2008 when we built 40 homes being built to LEED Silver standards, a major feat for any residential builder.
As we look forward to even more environmentally and budget friendly improvements on our building practices, all homes are now built to LEED certification standards.
